Madhuri Kathe

Renowned artist Madhuri Kathe is known for her mystical and contemplative mixed-media abstract paintings. The creative artist, who draws inspiration from nature and is very spiritual, has two master’s degrees: one in Ancient Indian History and Archaeology and another in Drawing and Painting from Vikram University in Ujjain. In addition, she holds a PhD in miniature paintings. Madhuri uses unusual materials such as medical gauze, tissue, and handmade papers from Korea, combining them with acrylic colours to create magic on canvas. Calming hues such as sea-green, blue, burnt orange, purple, pale yellow and white make up her colour palette. Madhuri has taken part in several group and solo exhibitions both domestically and internationally. She has also attended esteemed art residencies, one of which took place in Sweden in 2018.
